From Singapore to Europe: Powering the Offshore Wind Buildout Together

Europe is gearing up for a major offshore wind buildout. Nine North Sea countries are targeting 300GW of capacity by 2050. Getting there will require a strong supply chain – be it turbines, port infrastructure, vessels or expertise - to build wind farms at sea and keep them running for decades. 

Thousands of kilometres away, Singapore companies are already playing a part. From offshore substations and specialised vessels to subsea inspection technologies, they are working alongside European partners across the offshore wind lifecycle. And these partnerships are growing deeper, with companies expanding their presence in Europe and working closely with partners on emerging areas such as floating offshore wind. 

The connections are also stretching beyond individual projects, bringing the European and Asia-Pacific wind industries closer together. To drive more collaborations, WindEnergy Asia-Pacific powered by RECHARGE will take place in Singapore from 25–27 May 2027, as part of a partnership between Hamburg Messe und Congress, DN Media Group (RECHARGE), and Singapore government agencies Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board.
