Industry survey: Global sentiment in the wind industry is rising again
The latest edition of the WindEnergy trend:index (WEtix) shows a slight recovery in global wind energy sentiment in autumn, following a sharp decline in spring. However, the trend remains very uneven across regions: while Asia and the ‘rest of the world’ are clearly more positive again, Germany in particular continues to lose momentum. North America remains the only region clearly in negative territory, despite a slight upturn in sentiment.
The WindEnergy trend:index (WEtix) is a biannual survey that was launched in 2018 for the first time by WindEnergy Hamburg, the world's leading trade fair for onshore and offshore wind energy, in collaboration with wind:research, the leading market research institute for the wind energy industry, to measure the mood in the sector.
